This is not Buriram. This is a view from the train back to Lampang from Bangkok. You can see our train snaking around the bend in front. My favorite part of the trip is between Utaradit and Prae, a long long stretch of beautiful farmland and forest. One area which I still have not succeeeded in photographing looks like green "lakes" of rice fields with "shores" and "islands" of thick greenery and trees and houses. I missed it again, but there is always next time. The above picture is just past my favorite stretch.
I wonder what the people who live here do for a living.
